Friday, May 27, was commencement day at City College of San Francisco, which is my favorite day of the year as it represents so much promise for our future. We celebrated more than 400 graduates! I am grateful to Senator Mark Leno for his unending support for CCSF and for being our keynote speaker. I’m also so proud of our student speaker, who personified the opportunities that CCSF provides for our entire community, and who received not one, but three, associate’s degrees today!

Last week, I also had the opportunity to attend the graduation ceremony for the Gateway to College program, a program for struggling high school students who may otherwise not be in school. The Gateway program offers an opportunity for these students to get their high school diplomas while earning college credits. The ceremony was heartwarming, and reminded me of why I do the work I do.

As I ramp up my re-election campaign for San Francisco’s Community College Board, I am writing to ask for your help. I have a fundraising goal of $10,000 before the next filing deadline. Please help me meet that goal by contributing $25, $50, $100, $250, or $500 today. Every little bit helps, and I appreciate any and all contributions. I also appreciate your belief in me and your support for City College. I am proud to have the endorsement of all of my colleagues on the board. You can see my growing list of endorsements and make a contribution on my website.

Thank you for your continued support and for backing Bacharach! Onward bound!

Ps: Please hold Wednesday, June 22, 2016, for my campaign kick-off! Details here!
